What is Live Bidding?
Live Bidding is a software solution that allows you to participate in our in-person auctions from anywhere via the internet. It enables you to bid in real-time as the auctioneer conducts the sale, giving you the opportunity to compete with bidders who are physically present at the auction site.
What technology do I need to participate in Online Bidding?
You need to be connected to the Internet, and your computer system needs to meet the minimum requirements for our Live Bidding Software to function properly. Please check our website for a detailed description of the requirements.
How much does it cost to bid?
Online bidding (both Absentee and Live Bidding) is free for the bidder. It allows you to bid on lots as if you were bidding at the on-site auction itself without having to pay extra fees for using the online service. However, there may be costs on top of the winning bid price which will be added at the time of purchase (e.g., taxes, shipping/handling, buyer’s premium, etc.). Information about additional costs will be provided on the auction overview page.
How do I know if an auction allows Online Bidding?
The majority of our auctions allow online bidding. If you see “Get Approved to Bid” or “You’re Approved” on an auction listing, auction page, or lot page, then the auction allows bidding. Once an auction has started, you’ll see “Live Bidding” or “Live Now” buttons. Click these to launch the live bidding software.
